New general travel blog. Linda and I are hitting the road Saturday morning, taking a leisurely path toward the Florida Keys and hoping for good weather. We’ll mix in plenty of golf, food, driving, seeing friends, and hopefully some diving. You know, maybe we’re starting to get a taste for this retired thing. It’s about time.
This week we’ve been creating menu lists, shopping, getting dive and golf gear ready, checking car maintenance, wrapping up house chores, scheduling haircuts, and practicing some golf. I got a new S90 camera and a new underwater housing for it, and so took some practice pictures Sunday evening in the pool. I couldn’t believe how cold the pool was, seemingly overnight down into the high 70s, even though the daytime highs were still around 100.
Took the camera on a bicycle ride up Mt Lemmon in Tucson on Tuesday and started really enjoying it. Nice pics, easy operation, one of the better compact models you can buy. Underwater housing really easy to use.
