It is super quiet here at the lake and we slept like logs last night. Zzzzzz
A morning boat ride around the lake sounds like a fantastic idea. Bill has his boat and dock set up so that he can have it on the water in less than a minute.
We are the only ones on the lake. It is mirror smooth and pristine.
After boating, we drive into town for breakfast and return to the lake house to relax before our afternoon tee time.
The boys decide they need a bit of a warm-up before golf:
Bill has wrangled us a tee time at the exclusive Elkview Country Club – right on Crystal Lake. It is a private facility and Bill told them he might be interested in joining. The pro was very generous and gave him a tee time for us this afternoon. We are super excited to play this gorgeous course.
Lots of golf photos:
The course was in fantastic shape and was as beautiful as we imagined.
All of us played fairly well and we had a great time. Thank you Bill for securing a spot for us at this awesome course! I hope you become a member so that we can play it again…
After golf we returned to the lake house for some “deep porch sitting” during a glorious sunset.
We tear ourselves away to go to the Crystal Pines restaurant for dinner. This place is local, local and serves up delicious homemade Italian fare. We shared lasagne and ravioli with meatballs. Eventually the owner came to our table and we learned the latest gossip about the homes on the lake. I told her to call me when the house that I have my eye on goes on the market!
What a fantastic time we have had at Bill’s lake house. We feel very lucky to be here and almost hate to leave tomorrow.
